Issue by Running Terraform Plan in Lab Environment

Dear DeepLearning.AI Support Team,

I am currently working on the course “Introduction to Data Engineering” on Coursera (https://www.coursera.org/learn/intro-to-data-engineering/home/welcome) by DeepLearning.AI, and I am facing an issue while performing a lab in the VS Code environment.

When I run the command “terraform plan”, it does not execute properly and sometimes the terminal becomes unresponsive or closes automatically. Because of this, I am unable to proceed with the lab.

Additionally, I encountered an issue where the bash terminal terminates with exit code 1. This prevented me from properly running setup commands like “source ./scripts/setup.sh”. I also tried running the script using “bash ./scripts/setup.sh”, but the problem still persists when executing Terraform commands.

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Restarting the terminal and the lab environment

  • Running “terraform init” before “terraform plan”

  • Executing setup scripts using different methods

  • Checking and resetting terminal settings

However, the issue is still not resolved.

I kindly request you to look into this issue or reset/fix the lab environment so that I can continue and complete the course lab.

Hello,

I am also having the same issue when running terraform commands. I tried debugging steps but all failed. I would like some help with fixing this error so i can complete the lab.

yeah, i resolved it, run terraform command which is given in preview as it shows with “|| echo ‘$’ ” fully, then it will show error which was occurred, give it to any AI Tool then fix it
