Laplace vs Laplacian Smoothing

In the course materials, the smoothing is described as Laplacian Smoothing. In the assignment for this week, the following link on additive smoothing is given.

In this wiki article, a distinction is made between Laplace and Laplacian Smoothing. From what I understand, Laplacian smoothing seems to refer to a different concept, used in Image Processing for filters.

Am I correct in thinking there is a typo in the course material? Should it be Laplace Smoothing (instead of Laplacian Smoothing)?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, Ahmad!

Laplacian smoothing is an algorithm to smooth

Laplacian smoothing is a smoothing technique that helps tackle the problem of zero probability in the Naïve Bayes machine learning algorithm.
