List of Formulas used in Courses

I’m currently going through the Machine Learning Specialization courses and often feel overwhelmed by the number of formulas to remember. I know that the slides are available for us to download, but I find myself having to frequently sift through weeks of lectures and even needing to return to notes from a different course. It would be nice to just have a section readily available of all of the formulas used and organized in a way that makes it easier to look up.

Hi @bmauss I understand how challenging it can be to keep track of all the formulas. A well-structured formula sheet can help. You can either create your own cheat sheet or look for one online. However, I recommend making your own, as the process will help you remember the formulas more effectively.

Well said.

On the other hand, hours for a course are nowhere near the number as predicted by the course description. :joy:

That’s fine and all, but this was feedback in order to help make a better product. Your response, while true, gives the impression that you’re organization is not interested in creating a better product. The amount of time it would take to have instructors compile their formulas is pretty negligible but would drastically improve the value of the overall product.

I feel like you misunderstood the point of this thread. You assume that I came here hoping that if I raised this request, I would get a cheat sheet, but you’re wrong. I posted this thread because I came to the site and didn’t find what I was looking for. I saw the Feedback thread and thought that I would leave a suggestion, know full well that the most likely reply I would get would be, at best, a hollow and meaningless “Thank you! We value your feedback and will take it into consideration.” Instead, I receive a message that essentially rejects my feedback entirely.

@bmauss It’s fine. I really apricate your feedback. Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @bmauss ,

I sent your feedback to the team.Thank yoi so much for your suggestion. In the meantime , I suggest you go to the resource section in the Machine Learning Specialization category. You might find information related to the course you are looking for.
