Loss function in the notebooks

I thought Loss function is L(y, y-hat) = 1/2*(y - y-hat)^2, but here in the notebook is different and also the teacher is using (y - y-hat) approach.

on the other hand why don’t we multiply the negative after the derivative to make it positive like -(y - y-hat) * x1

@yjcb22 please take a look at this notebook, let me know whether its correct or not.

@Mohammad_Omar_Adde Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Please note that you are right in your statement. I reported this issue back in April with Gitissue #588. This is a know issue and it is in the pending list to be fixed. Meanwhile just use the notation in the lab.

Thanks in advance! Great catch!
