Neural Nets and Parallelism

Sorry, I just did an edit to correct a spelling error in one of my posts on this thread. I found it again when I was looking for a post from Raymond about determinism.

It’s okay Paul . Recall before the beginning of time I was an ESL instructor for several years (my general dismay at the general destruction of the language after proliferation of text messaging is best a discussion saved for another time). However, though I make spelling mistakes on occasion (it drives me crazy when I do), more so it is curious to me how immediately noticeable it is (when I see someone make such an error). I even see it in the NYTimes on occasion and it annoys me .

Not, however, that I think I’d ever win any spelling bees-- I was never as technical as that. Rather it is from reading way, way, way too many books growing up.

Going through a text, I notice the error almost immediately, even without thinking. It is just this feeling of-- something is not right, like a figure in a painting just out of place or a glaring sore on a text’s otherwise pristine skin.

So, don’t worry friend, I don’t think you are anal

*Oh… And I have found at least one positive in all this-- At least @paulinpaloalto I know you are not an LLM; I don’t think they make those kind of mistakes  .
