Long time software engineer but with gaps in my skill set as I’m mostly self taught and have worked either as a solo dev or in small teams. I’ve decided to pivot more towards being a sort of hybrid AI Engineer / Software Engineer. I’m here first to get a deeper understanding of the math behind LLMs and traditional AI. I’ve got about two years professional experience building AI applications using APIs to connect to frontier models but I want to go go deeper. I’ve got about 20 years overall IT experience mostly building web applications.
