so i am a complete beginner into Ai and i know little coding stuff yet i know like very basic or even less python so for the optional labs i feel confused like should i go and learn that python or can i just skip them or what .
This course has a lot of Python programming. I recommend you attend a tutorial on Python basics, then come back to this course.

don’t feel discouraged at all you don’t need to pause your learning journey
i recommend you to watch the video lectures and focus 100% on understanding the concepts first, you can absolutely skim through the optional labs for now just to see how the code looks without stressing over every line
you can also use AI tools like gemini or chatgpt as your personal tutor copy any piece of code you do not understand from the labs and ask it to explain this .
if you can learn python in parallel spend just 20 to 30 minutes a day on a basic python crash course focusing on variables , loops , functions and lists instead of stopping everything to learn coding first
you can definitely do both at the same time happy learning
