Simon from the Uk

I’m Simon from the UK.

I’m pretty new to Python and coding AI and doing it on the back burner in my spare time for a couple of hours a week.

What I’ve found so far are a lot of outdated course materials, relying on ever changing broken libraries and pay walls.

However there is good material out there too. Do try Jupter Labs and engage with Claude to build code snippets to work with.

For my part, I’ve got the basic image classifier working, but been preparing the pieces of something bigger. My local AI now considers what he likes and dislikes during conversation and taps into local file storage. I plan to extend my solution to a comprehensive self growth system where he can generate his own leads and interests and repeatedly research aspects, summarising and combining then discussing. I think the market so far has barely touched the tip of the iceberg.

In terms of background, I’ve done many coding languages in the past and worked with SQL Server for decades with a wide spread of interests.

What ML courses are you attending?

Please do not rely on AI to teach you the fundamentals. That is a very slow-growth path with lots of dead ends.

I’ve looked through a number including fastai. Of course, I had to debug the first notebook, then hit the second which was also full of errors. I’ve browsed a few since but heavily rely now on a mix of AI and code examples with various libraries.

I meant, what courses from DeepLearning.AI have you attended?
