Hello guys,
I have taken a few Machine Learning courses including that of World Quant University and DataCamp. They all refer to the feature variables as capital “X” and this course refers to it as lowercase “x”. Which is the industry standard?
I am not aware of any published industry standard about the use of symbol for the feature values. I think the key is consistency within a discussion or within a code. Don’t be surprised if you see the capital X in some labs.
