Transitioning to Agentic AI Freelancing: Seeking Strategic Roadmap for Summer 2026

I am currently a 2nd-semester AI student looking to utilize my upcoming summer break to specialize in Agentic AI and begin freelancing. I have access to a Coursera/HEC subscription starting May 1st, but I am looking for a realistic, high-impact learning path.

My primary goal is to move from theory to building client-ready autonomous agents. Given a limited timeframe, what are the core frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI) I should prioritize, and what strategies would you recommend for securing a first client without a long-standing professional history?

Hi @Muhammad_Ibrahim9 !

This is a great question, and your plan for the summer is very impressive.

I’ll leave the detailed roadmap to one of our expert mentors here to give you the best professional advice @Community-Team @paulinpaloalto @TMosh .

In the meantime, you can check out these great articles to get a head start on Agentic AI and how to build a portfolio:

Keep up the great energy, and I wish you a happy learning!

You can find helpful roadmap discussions by searching for “roadmap” in the forum—there are posts tailored to different goals and cases. Also, in the Applications section, there’s a small tool developed by DeepLearning.AI to help you choose a roadmap. Just search the forum and you should find both easily.

Thank you for your advice. I’ll check.

You’re very welcome! Happy to help. Feel free to reach out if you hit any more roadblocks. Happy learning!
