A few days back I had the issue of permissions on the Glue job, tried again tonight and now I am stuck at creating cloud9 environment which is causing a permission issue.
The specific issue is a permissions issue my user’s assumed role is not authorized to perform iam::createRole on resource … service-role/AWSCloud9SSMAccessRole because no identity policy allows the iam:createRole action.
Looks like I made this in the wrong place - can someone move?
I can move it, if you tell me where it should go.
It needs to go to “Intro to Data Engineering” → Week 2.

Can you please make sure that you are choosing all the right settings for your cloud9 environment? Choosing SSM instead of SSH, wrong VPC/Subnet, or wrong instance type can lead to permission errors.
That was the issue. SSM was the default.
