Week 2 Lab 1: Terraform Apply Error

Error when I input terraform apply.

Error: creating Glue Catalog Database (de-c1w2-analytics-db): operation error Glue: CreateDatabase, https response error StatusCode: 400, RequestID: ed7b3b54-4b7a-4385-9f9d-97fe61e520f4, AlreadyExistsException: Database already exists.

Hello @Romeo47
Sorry for the inconvenience. I suggest you first try deleting the database instance. You can search for Glue in the AWS console, go to databases, and delete the instance from there. It looks like this.

If the issue persists, you can ask for a lab refresh via this form.

Hi there,
I am facing the same issue i.e.

"
Error: creating Glue Catalog Database (de-c1w2-analytics-db): operation error Glue: CreateDatabase, https response error StatusCode: 400, RequestID: eb7deaef-25ff-4fe2-a42f-1e462974fb85, AlreadyExistsException: Database already exists.

with aws_glue_catalog_database.analytics_database,
on glue.tf line 1, in resource “aws_glue_catalog_database” “analytics_database”:
1: resource “aws_glue_catalog_database” “analytics_database” {

"

i have tried filling the form but there was no option for this error.
furthermore, i tried navigating to data catelog/ databases, but it is showing " No resources

No resources to display."

Hi,

My issue was resolved after the lab was refreshed.

I think I chose Insufficient lake formation for the issue - I can’t quite remember.

As long as your lab gets refreshed, the issue would be solved.

PS: Don’t forget to select Coursera interface when filling the forms.

Kind regards,
Romeo.
