For the assignment, the first command itself is not giving me any output - please guide me on what theissue can be. I am giving this command on the terminal and it is supposed to give a response but I don’t get any response at all:
aws rds describe-db-instances --db-instance-identifier "de-c1w2-rds" --output text --query "DBInstances[].Endpoint.Address"
pls suggest.

You just reached that point in the lab too soon. You just reached that point in the lab too soon. AWS was still provisioning the database, and the endpoint only appears once it’s ready.
You can run
aws rds describe-db-instances --db-instance-identifier de-c1w2-rds --query “DBInstances[].[DBInstanceStatus,Endpoint.Address]” --output table
If status (first column) is not “available” wait a couple of minutes and run it again.
When status is “available” proceed with your command.

Thanks for your inputs but I try again and again and still facing same issue. When will it be available? I tried waiting for more than 30 minutes. Or is it that as I am ahead of schedule so it will be provisioned after some days…if so when?
Pls. suggest.
Also note that I just get no response (blank) , after waiting and retrying etc. too.
Update: No , now I am getting below error (instead of a blank response) to the command you provided:
aws: [ERROR]: An error occurred (AccessDenied) when calling the DescribeDBInstances operation: User: arn:aws:sts::211125463400:assumed-role/voclabs/user5487255=esafadurjnqn is not authorized to perform: rds:DescribeDBInstances on resource: arn:aws:rds:us-east-1:211125463400:db:de-c1w2-rds with an explicit deny in an identity-based policy: arn:aws:iam::211125463400:policy/voc-cancel-cred
