How do you know where to start? What courses to begin? What path to walk down?

First, define your goals. What do you want your results to be?

Well, for starters, I want to work remotely so I can travel. Not sure what my goals are because I don’t understand quite yet what goals I can achieve.

I only know HTML, some Javascript and CSS… not really computer programming though.

Ok, I recommend a two-part first step. You can do both of these simultaneously.

  • Attend a beginner’s course on Python programming.
    Here is one option:
    AI Python for Beginners - DeepLearning.AI

  • Enroll in the DL.AI “Machine Learning Specialization” courses. This is a basic-level introductory course to the essentials of how machine learning works.

You will need to pay for a “Pro” membership for these courses. One fee includes every course in the catalog, with the graded quizzes and programming assignments

I took these two courses and I absolutely recommend these courses for anyone who has completed an advanced HS mathematics course that included PDEs. In this age, it has become essential to understand how mathematics works in these models.
