2D anigography to 3D model

Is there any work being done in this field? I am working on a project where I am trying to convert the 2D angiography of a Pulmonary artery to a 3D model and trying to read its 3D structure for detecting heart attack risks., if anybody wants to collaborate with me on this project, it would be appreciable

Thanks for posting. Welcome to the community.

I am aware that fair amount of work is going on, on using DL to create 3D models (as in images) from 2D images. Hope others on this forum can respond in you specific area though.

Just a suggestion… You might want to change the title of your post to “Request for collaboration:[TOPIC]” to attract more specific attention.

Take care.

Hello @kanvpinaki ,

Your project sounds fascinating! The goal of transforming 2D angiography images to 3D models is challenging yet has substantial potential to improve predictive models for heart attack risks.

I’m aware that various work is being done in the field of 3D medical imaging. Techniques like CNNs, GANs, and other deep learning architectures are being utilized for 3D image segmentation, anomaly detection, and other related tasks. However, the specific task of converting 2D angiography to 3D models is more specialized and requires a unique approach, possibly involving complex techniques like 3D reconstruction and volumetric analysis.

I would recommend looking at some of the latest research papers on 3D medical imaging, specifically around cardiovascular imaging. Arxiv, Google Scholar, or PubMed are good starting points. Also, understanding the clinical aspects of Pulmonary artery and related diseases will be crucial.

In terms of collaboration, I recommend posting a detailed proposal on the deeplearning.ai community forum. Be sure to include the specific skills you’re looking for in collaborators, the project’s scope, and its expected outcomes.

To anyone interested in this project, it offers a great opportunity to work at the intersection of deep learning and healthcare, a field that’s ripe with opportunities to make a difference.

Remember, we’re here to support you throughout your journey. Keep us posted on your progress, and don’t hesitate to ask if you need help. Good luck with your project!

Best Regards,
Harsh Der.
