It’s possible that your notebook is not using a GPU on colab. Please use Runtime > Change runtime type and pick GPU as your hardware accelerator. This will start a new session. So, go to Runtime > manage sessions and delete a non-gpu runtime.
I don’t have sufficient information about a compute unit. Do vote this topic if you’re interested to learn more about it.
