Are there recommended books aligned with the course material?

Are there recommended books aligned with the course contents?

Not officially from the creators, I think they are doing a pretty good job without props from other books.

Nevertheless, a book is really important reference. A book has some specific characteristics, which make it valuable for a learner:

  • the material is organized in an uniform format;
  • the location of each topic and pieces of content is fixed, and you can quickly locate it, refer to it in a note, etc;
  • you can move the whole content around (e.g. on multiple devices, offline) in just one file.

I believe that the material provided in this course is wonderful! very well done! I am just saying that a book has different pros and cons, and some people (maybe ‘old school people’ :wink: ) are more used to that.
I can share a couple of titles, which I found good, and for what I have seen so far, are aligned with the course (I am at week 2), although with some differences in the notation:

  • Goodfellow, Bengio, Courville - “Deep Learning” (2016) MIT Press
  • Aggarwal - “Neural Networks and Deep Learning. A Textbook” (2018) Springer
