Hi All,

For the Lab exercise C2_W2_Lab_1_Streaming_Ingestion under Week 2 I was following a thread posted elsewhere in another forum and marked as closed by @Mubsi which I believe it does not solve the problem. The thing is, when trying to create a Kinesis Data Stream on the AWS Console, there is an information being prompted saying You don’t have permission to list analytics apps. I have attached the screenshot to provide further details. My understanding perhaps, the roles within our accounts only allow us to play with Amazon Data Firehose. None of the instructions provided on the notebook guidance can be visualized under the console for the Kinesis. Appreciate any help.

Like you, I can see this error. However, this just says that you don’t have permission to list some applications, yet you are able to create new streams. I did so, and you can see the results hereunder:

Changing locations from Ohio to Virginia helped me resolve the issue.
