C3-Week2-ProgrammingAssignment-TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for -: 'list' and 'int'

On the BBC assignment code on week 2 I keep getting this error
TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for -: ‘list’ and ‘int’

I don’t know why it still recognizes this as a list instead of a numpy array
