Uh… @Deepti_Prasad I was talking with one of the former mentors the other day and they happened to mention this. I think ‘trax’ is from the first, not current revision of the course where we use TF.

Please share screenshot of the issue you are mentioning like what error are you getting, if the assignment is a graded assignment, then make sure your screenshot don’t have codes mentioned in it.

yes I remember the older version having trax, but let him confirm once. I don’t want to assume on which assignment he is talking about as the updated course has changed one of the graded assignment into practice assignment and merged two assignments in week 1 where one is graded another is practice assignment.

so if he is talking about that assignment, and as even I am thinking he is working on an old copy, then can advise to update the lab to get a fresh lastest version of the assignment.

Please note @chiranjeevidj course 3 and course 4 were updated around Jan 2024, where the assignment are more related to tf version. So in case you are working on an old copy, ensure you get a fresh latest copy.

If you run a search, you can find threads where people discuss methods for getting the older trax versions of the exercises to run locally. Here is one that deals with Windows and I think Linux (see the embedded links)

To the best of my knowledge, this process is for people with a current subscription. Those of us who took the class before the update and no longer have a subscription (like me) don’t seem to be entitled to the new notebooks, hence my recent efforts to get the trax versions running on my Mac.

Have you enrolled the course currently?

sharing labs and any course material is against community guidelines. So you cannot ask these from a third person

i don’t think they can do anything about this. reach cousera learner helper centre.

updated course only available after purchase.

you can look for financial aid in coursera, but they review your application and if they approve, you get some reduction in fees

In which case you can learn from the threads linked above how to get trax installed locally. It’s most straightforward on Ubuntu, but people report getting it running on Windows and I did so myself last month on Mac OS running on the first release of Apple silicon M1. I am now able to run all of the notebooks for the NLP specialization.
