Hello. We are looking into it based on feedback on the courses. We do not have a timeframe on the certificates as of now.

Well, here is a quick prompt to -programmatically- to do exactly that:
Generate a python script to create a certificate of course completion for 'John Doe' where the course title is: 'Prompt Engineering' and delivered by 'DeepLearning.AI' company with their logo in SVG format using 'drawsvg' library.
I got a wonderful result after only 3 attempts!

Please add a little certificate so people can show it on their profile. It’ll help market this free course too by giving organic reach to both OpenAI and DeepLearning platforms.

A simple downloadable PDF certificate is old fashioned since anyone can manipulate/forge etc., the need is a digital badge like on Credly/Badge/DiplomaSafe/Credential.net etc which can be verified on blockchain thereby attesting the authenticity.
I do think that deeplearning.ai would eventually offer a verified certificate/digital badge since it’s clearly said on the portal that this course is free for a limited time. Once they monetize this course it’s bound to offer an object of accomplishment like a certificate/badge because no one in their right mind would pay to enrol in a course which doesn’t lead to a reward considering other e-learning platforms soon would offer similar courses like this.
So, I think the only hesitation to give us a certificate/badge is because this is a free offering now and this is free in order to generate interest & awareness. They would monetize once the awareness reaches critical mass. With more than 200,000 enrolments it would be interesting to see how deeplearning responds to the student community request by managing expectations & it’s reputation.
The admin has marked this thread as “solved” that means they are not considering our requests any more. I wish there was more clarity on this by the admin.
Let’s move to edX, DataCamp and Codecademy who provides ChatGPT courses with certificate. Cheers!

It doesn’t have to be a certificate by the way. Any way of implementing it could work. Not necessarily a certificate but some kind of verification. Could be as simple as code or something. Just a way to authenticate that Someone actually took this very course from the actual authority people…
