Hello guys,

I watched week 2 videos about collaborative filtering recommender systems, and I want to know what the name of the approach used in the course is. When I did some reading on this topic, I found that collaborative filtering is divided into two main categories: Memory-Based & Model-Based CF. And the memory-based system can be item-based or user-based.

I am confused and cannot relate those approaches to the one mentioned in the course. Anyone can help?

I believe it’s a memory-based method but with some hybrids of other techniques.
