Confusion in Determinant of a Product

At around 1:55 in the video, the transformation is blown up by a factor of 3. However, the coordinates of the projection don’t seem to be correct.

I tried to create the transformed image using the plugin, and this is what I get

Do I understand it wrong, or is there an error in the material?
