I would like to use AI to create an interactive app which generates random mathematical problems, including word problems, pertaining to the specific areas of math that are required to pass the GED exam. The app should 1) allow for the particular math problem domain to be selected, 2) be multiple choice questions (with four choices), 3) should tell the user if their choice is correct, and 4) should provide the correct answer and how it was derived.

Though many years ago I was a software developer, I am a newbie in trying to use AI for a project like this.
AI that can handle mathematics correctly, that’s on the cutting edge of AI research. Huge teams of AI researchers are working on it.
This project seems extremely complicated for a first AI project.
