Download as PDF isn't working

Hello there,

I have a problem with the following files:

  • Optional Lab: Multiple linear regression
  • Optional Lab: Feature scaling and learning rate
  • Optional lab: Feature engineering and Polynomial regression
  • Programming Assignment: Week 2 practice lab: Linear regression

I try to download the file as a PDF via LateX but without success, I systematically encounter the following error:

500 : Internal Server Error

I’ve tried two browsers (Brave and Microsoft Edge) and I’m still having the same problem.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Nicolas

The labs are not intended to be downloaded as PDF files from your browser.

From the Notebook menu, use the “Lab Files” tab, and then “Download all files”.

Hello,

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “The labs are not intended to be downloaded as PDF files from your browser.”.

There’s a feature that lets me do it, but it doesn’t work. Downloading the files cleanly as PDFs allows me to doodle on them after I’ve printed them.

Simply downloading the code won’t help me on this one.

Do you have a solution?

Edit : the error code, that does appear for some labs.

Thanks for the additional information.

I’ve never tried the “download as PDF” option.

Oh, I see.

Do you have any idea who to contact? According to this message I should hurry

Regards,

I’ll raise it as an issue with the course staff. But do not expect it to be fixed quickly, because it’s probably something Coursera will have to fix (because it’s their platform, DLAI only provides the content).

Hi @Nicolas_Bols,

We mentors actually do not provide technical support, but here are what I can think of for your consideration:

  1. Use your browser’s Print feature to print it like any web page into a PDF. Please make sure whether the resulting PDF is what you are looking for, or

  2. Do as Tom suggested to download all files, so that at least you will keep the notebooks after your subscription ends and you can figure out how to convert them into PDFs later.

Cheers,
Raymond
