Summary: Data engineering is the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems and processes that take in raw data and produce high-quality, consistent information that supports downstream use cases, such as analysis and machine learning.

The work requires to work with people to understand the business requirements and the state of the data systems, how the data is going to be use is key to provide the right data to the right people in the right time. Having conversations about business requirements is a skill that we need to develop in this field. Overall, this week was meant to understand how to think like a data engineer and provide the right proposal to implement.
