I’m Dan - I’m super interested in learning everything I can about AI (I assume that this is why everyone else is here too! )
Starting with the Mathematics for Machine Learning and Data Science course - I’m still on week 2 of the linear algebra section. This is definitely tough work for me (Maths wasn’t my strength in school!) but i’m determined to work through it and then get on to the other sections.
Feel free to get in touch - happy to share my input on the courses and would be good to hear from other people too.
Personally and frankly, unless you’re extremely interested in math (and don’t mind if the explanations are confusing), I do not find the Math for Machine Learning course to be a good introduction to the topic. The course uses a lot of non-standard terminology, and explains methods that have little to do with practical machine learning methods (but they certainly are interesting mathematics).
Instead I recommend that learners start with the Machine Learning Specialization. It’s a beginner-level course, gives you just enough math to explain the concepts, and only assumes you have a rudimentary knowledge of Python programming.
