How do I install python on my computer

I would like step by step instructions on downloading Python and PIP onto my computer so that I don’t have to use Coursera’s web browser to to the labs.

I was able to figure this out by downloading Anaconda.

The courses are intended to be taken on Coursera Labs.

When you’re doing the work locally, you must be extremely careful to use exactly the same versions of all of the tools and packages that Coursera Labs provides.

This can be extremely complicated.

Thank you. The reason I ask is a reasonable expectation after this course is over is to be able to use Python for basic linear algebra and very basic modeling. And if I don’t know how to use it on my own, then I have a gap, right? Just sharing general feedback. I understand your comment.
