How to know if I'm really learning?

I have a question, how should I know if I’m doing well in learning the course materials? I watch the videos, pass the quizzes, and complete the programming assignments (with maybe lots of errors), but I don’t really feel that I’m grasping the whole concepts. I’m still on course 2 though, will I have a better understanding of the concepts when I complete the specialization or should I get some of the books mentioned in the Bibliography? I’d appreciate if anyone tells me if there’s anything I should do
Thanks in advance

Hey @NadaAbdellah,
You can definitely refer to the books mentioned in the Bibliography. They are a great way to enhance your understanding of the concepts. Another good way to make sure you are learning is to try to redo the assignments and quizzes at the end of the specialization. When a person learns, making mistakes is inevitable, but when you will redo the assignments, then you will get to know how much you learnt from your mistakes.

A nice and tested way is to make projects based on what you have learnt. That will both, enhance your portfolio as well as your skills. And my personal best, is to hop onto Discourse and help my fellow learners. In order to precisely explain a concept to a person, you need to have a clear understanding of the same, and you get a lot of opportunities on Discourse to explain different concepts to your fellow learners. Additionally, you get to take a look at things from someone else’s perspective which can cement your foundations in a much better way. I hope this helps.

Regards,
Elemento

thank you so much, maybe I’ll need more practice so I will definitely try implementing projects based on what I’m learning and will try to help other learners on discourse, it didnt cross my mind. Your help is extremely appreciated :raised_hands:
