I am getting this error and not able to do anything

Hi @shahpujan , I was getting the same error and it turned out to be rate limiting by Claude for me. My code was ok. Have you tried using Claude Code in planning mode to investigate the error too just in case?

Oh yes, I think I should try that one. Thank you Sarah.

Yup, I ran into this as well. It will display when you are able to re-use Claude. For instance, mine said to re-attempt at 2PM that day, for an example.

Hi @c0d3junkie I am getting the same error and I just signed up for the course and Claude. Where do you see the message that says when you can re-attempt? I just get a 500 internal server error.

Hi @Rajeev_Shankar, Yeah I am not sure usually the error from Anthropic is a 529 and give you some additional info rather than just the generic 500. Here is a link to Anthropic error page, I know thats not really helpful. Of course I would check the subscription as well, are you using the API or Pro subscription? I have only been using the Pro subscription and about half way through the Testing, Debugging and CodeRefactor lesson I received the 529. Let me know what you find out.

Oh and here is a link to Github for those 500 issues in Claude. Hope it helps.

Have fun.

I am so sorry. I was referencing a different error. The error you are receiving is part of the course. Elie Schoppik will guide you through it during one of the videos. I believe its the debugging one. He utilizes ClaudeCode and a prompt to fix this issue. If you need the exact prompt he utilizes its in the Prompts and Summary of Lessons section at the bottom. The exact prompt is on GitHub here. Sorry for the confusion. Hope this helps.

Oh got it. Thanks Albert. I thought I had an error in my install. I appreciate it very much

I bought the API credits on Anthropic and it works now…which make me feel really weird for this “free“ open course….
