I am unable to save the assignment Deep Learning Specialization→ course 1→ week 4

I am unable to save the assignment C1W4_Assignment_1 (Building your Deep Neural Network: Step by Step) in the course

Deep Learning Specialization
→ course 1-> week 4

The save is failing so unable to submit the assignment, got zero scrore after completing the assignment and submission since I wasn’t able to save it

Other assignments worked fine, this is the only one pending to complete my certificate, please help

I’m not sure what you mean by “saving” the assignment, because in these notebooks, as you run through the cells, your work is usually saved automatically.

What is more important here is clicking the “Submit Assignment” button at the top right after completing the notebook. Could you please send us a screenshot of the submission output or any error message you received when trying to submit? That would help us better understand what went wrong.

Unfortunately I am unable to upload the image due to firewall issue, but let me explain

  1. Notebook is not getting autosaved, if I click on save, it gives error, Autosave failed! Restarting kernel, restoring the notebook does not help either

  2. On submitting completed but unsaved notebook, I got error An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later Total Score

    Try Again・0/100

    Exercise 1

    0/10

Failed test case: Exception during test: ‘NoneType’ object has no attribute ‘shape’.
    Expected:
    None,
    but got:
    None.

  3. I am not sure whether there was error submitting the notebook or unsaved clean notebook got submitted, I got 0/100

  4. I am unable to download this particular notebook locally as well, these issues did not occur with any other notebooks

Hello @Dattanand_Raykar

I wonder if that firewall had also blocked the save? Here is one instance. You may not be using Azure but if one firewall can block it, then why can’t another? Could you try it again in a different network and not using any VPN (so you won’t be blocked by any VPN’s firewall)?

Cheers,
Raymond

There was another report over the weekend of a learner with a similar problem about saving their DLS notebook. That thread is also unresolved.
