I have read the posts about the Insufficient Lake Formation permission problem and requested lab refresh several times.
Unfortunately I still get same error in Capstone project 1 for de-c4w4a1-json-transform-job and de-c4w4a1-songs-transform-job:
AnalysisException: Insufficient Lake Formation permission(s) on de_c4w4a1_silver_db (Service: AWSGlue; Status Code: 400; Error Code: AccessDeniedException; Request ID: ebdecfed-e34b-4cd8-90d5-41b4fc2aa7ed; Proxy: null)
Ultimately, I don’t know if the problem is due to an error in my code or if it is AWS’s fault. Has anyone dealt with this problem and knows an effective solution?
Hello @hawraa.salami,
It seems that @pimar is having the same issue with Insufficient Lake Formation and his transform jobs keep failing. He already submitted the form and received his lab refresh several times. Could you check it please, thank you
Hello @pimar,
I could reproduce the issue with those two job’s failing. I am not sure if you submitted several times but the lab refresh helped me clear those resources. This is the error I was getting when running de-c4w4a1-json-transform-job
and I am pretty sure your code is not the issue since I managed to complete it after a lab refresh. Thank you
@Georgios
Three times my lab was refreshed and still the same error : AnalysisException: Insufficient Lake Formation permission(s) on de_c4w4a1_silver_db. Trying to solve the problem has already taken me a very long time.
This situation is frustrating for me because I can’t take any step further. I was planning to complete my specialization in April and am forced to extend for another month just because of this problem.
Can I get some final successful support? Maybe a reset of the entire environment is needed along with all the code in Visual Studio Code (Coursera Interface)?
Hello @pimar,
Sorry for the inconvenience that you need to extend your subscription. I reported your issue 4 days ago to staff @Mubsi and @hawraa.salami who unfortunately was busy working to other projects. Probably you got the lab support during that period and as you can see I had the exact same issue with the transform job a month before. There is no need to to reset the whole environment and the VS Code and your code is probably fine. Please submit the form and @Mubsi could check your lab refresh. Thank you
Hi @pimar,
I have refreshed your account again. Please try now, and if the issue remains, let us know.
Thanks,
Mubsi
Hello @Mubsi
Thank you for your support. Your lab refresh finally solved the problem .
