Issue with Lab Submission – Unable to Edit Locked Cell

I am experiencing an issue with my lab submission. I accidentally pasted incorrect information into a locked cell that does not allow editing, and I am now unable to remove or correct it.
When I submit the lab, I receive a grade of 0 with the following error message:
“Comment line with index: UNQ_C1 is duplicated.”

It appears that the notebook structure has been affected, and I am unable to fix the issue due to the restricted cell.

Could you please assist me in resolving this or advise on how I can reset or obtain a clean version of the notebook so I can resubmit correctly?

[Mentor edit: code removed]

Hope this helps:

Hi,
Thank you for the guidance.
I have already followed the steps outlined in the “Downloading your Notebook,” “Downloading your Workspace,” and “Refreshing your Workspace” instructions, including resetting the workspace and reloading the latest version of the lab.
However, the issue is still not resolved. The notebook still contains the problematic locked/duplicated cells, and I am unable to complete the assignment correctly because of this.
Could you please assist by providing a completely fresh copy of the assignment notebook from scratch, or help reset my environment so I can start over with a clean version of the lab?
I want to ensure that I am working with an original, functional notebook so I can complete and submit the assignment properly.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Duduzile

You’ll get a fresh notebook that resembles the starter code after resetting the workspace. Mentors don’t have access to your workspace.

Did you remove the assignment notebook before refreshing the workspace?

Have you re-named your notebook ipynb file?

That will cause problems, because the grader always uses the notebook with the original file name. It does not matter what notebook you have open when you click on the Submit button.

There are instructions at the end of the notebook that tell you how to enable editing for locked cells.

Generally you should not need to edit a locked cell.

Do not use this method to modify any of the tests. When a locked cell throws an error message, it is because there is an error in the code you added to one of the graded cells.

I only renamed the notebook. Am I supposed to delete the assignment notebook before refreshing the workspace?

Renaming the notebook before refreshing the workspace is sufficient. Adding @Mubsi

Thank you so much it worked.
