Issue with Week 3 Car Detection Assignment: "The model in your submission is invalid

Hello,
I have completed all the steps in the Week 3 Car Detection Assignment for the Deep Learning Specialization (Convolutional Neural Networks). However, I keep getting the error:

“The model in your submission is invalid. Please try again!”

I checked everything and I know the issue is because the required file model_data/yolo_model.h5 is no longer available in the lab environment.
I cannot fix it myself because it is missing from the Coursera Lab.

Could you please manually mark this assignment as Passed?

I do not see the file model_data/yolo_model.h5 in my notebook folder, but I do not have any problem running the notebook or submitting to the grader.

So my guess is that your analysis of what the problem is here is not correct. When do you see that message? When you run the tests in the notebook or when you submit to the grader?

Here is what I see in the model_data subfolder of my assignment:

Also note that we can’t just give you a “Pass” on this assignment. We literally do not have the ability to do that, so we need to figure out what is causing your problem.

This is not the correct diagnosis of the issue. That’s a hidden file and you can’t see it in the File menu in any case.

The error message suggests an error in your notebook.

The YOLO model is imported via this statement in the first code cell:

The model comes from a Keras archive, not your local notebook folders.

The error message “The model in your submission is invalid. Please try again!” only appears when I press Submit to grade the assignment.

When I run the notebook manually, everything works fine, but the grader fails due to the missing model_data/yolo_model.h5.
I cannot upload or add this file manually because it is not available in the current Coursera Lab environment.

Could you kindly advise what I should do next?
Or can you please pass my assignment manually, as I have completed all the steps correctly?

As I said earlier, we cannot just give you a grade. We need to figure out what is wrong with your notebook. And as Tom pointed out the problem is not that the file you name is missing. It’s not there for Tom or me either and we don’t have a problem.

I think the next step is to look at your notebook. We cannot do that directly and are not supposed to share it on a public thread. Please check your DMs for a message from me about how to proceed.
