Matrices that represents the system of equations

In the 2nd quiz we have this question

I am actually confused about this - do the matrices that represents the system of equations have to be like a “square form”, meaning they must have the same row and column numbers, representing the number of equations equals to the number of unknown variables?

Thanks!

No, need not be sqaure matrix.

Hi @chenhang.

Question 2 is referring to the equivalent matrix form of the system of equations in Question 1

and as @Sabeena_Kazi mentioned, it does not need to be a square matrix.
