Mistake / typo in Course 1 week 4

As you can see X2 dot products should be 0.5775, 0.27 and 0.1525. Not sure what happened cause next day X3 ends up correct but X2 adds up to 0.5575+0.27+0.1525= 0.84275

Thank you, Andy

Hi Andy,

Good spot! you are absolutely right.
There are visual typos on this slide for the X_2 calculation

The slide shows 0.5575 as you noticed and the correct calculation is

(0.80 × 0.45) + (0.45 × 0.35) + (0.30 × 0.20) = {0.5775}

Also the slide mistakenly displays an extra zero as 0.01525, whereas it should be:

(0.05 × 0.45) + (0.20 × 0.35) + (0.30 × 0.20) = {0.1525}

When using the correct values ({0.5775} + {0.27} + {0.1525}) the total adds up to 1.0 so which making it a valid probability distribution vector.

We hope you find this course both exciting and rewarding!
