Hello,
I just finished the AI for Everyone course and am trying to figure out what would be a good next course, I’m not very familiar with any of this but am trying to think of things that will likely come up in my line of work, perhaps courses geared towards governance, or safety and guardrails, data to decisions. I work in policy and strategy but am trying to grow my familiarity with AI, the lexicon, capabilities for career advancement.

Hey There Becky!
You mentioned needing guidance on your next course and in my opinion there are two different directions you could take. One is the practical route if you think you have an idea you want to apply, then there are plenty of courses for AI Agents, RAG Systems, etc that dive into practical concepts and they’re usually quite direct and simple. On the other hand, if you still want more ideas and knowledge of applying AI in safety, your best bet is AI for Good, genuinely one of my favourite specialisations as it actually talks about real life applications/examples that use AI for the good of the general public (which does talk about safety and governance from an ethical standpoint).
Please let me know if you need anything else, and I hope my suggestion helped you out.
Good luck and Best Regards.
Youssef
Thank you for the recommendation. That’s probably more aligned to where I am at this point in learning. I’m really trying to better understand the space (i.e. what is an AI Agent) so that I can develop effective AI policies and strategies at the enterprise level. I haven’t seen any AI ethics focused course here yet but I find that aspect really interesting.
AI for Good does somewhat go into the ethical considerations you need to think about when you start doing a project for the public, which adds more complexities that are case specific. Which makes every project unique in its own way not just “make accuracy higher”. I wish you all the best and I’m happy to help anytime if you have anymore questions.
