Imagine having an AI assistant that not only helps you write code but also helps you debug, optimize, and document your work. With the launch of this skill certificate, you’ll gain hands-on experience in doing just that.
This three-course series provides an in-depth exploration of AI applications throughout the software development lifecycle, encompassing design, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
You’ll learn to use LLMs as thought partners, pair programmers, and performance optimization advisors.
Highlights include:
Prompt Engineering: Learn how to prompt an LLM to generate and refine code across multiple languages.
Iterative Improvement: Sharpen your techniques for iterative code enhancement with AI assistance.
AI-Powered Debugging: Get insights into debugging with AI to enhance your code’s efficiency and security.
AI isn’t just a tool—it’s a partner in your development path. Start collaborating with AI today.
@lmoroney & team, thank you for a nice trilogy!
I’m a senior SW engineer working with LLMs daily, so didn’t find that much new, but I can confirm that the courses are well-structured, and the advice given is nice. I really liked the cautious approach: it is regularly emphasized that one always need to verify the output of the LLM before integrating that code into production codebase. One should be ready to iterate to arrive at the relevant and quality code.
One question that I have left after the courses: what structure of the codebase you would recommend so that GitHub Copilot and similar code completion tools have easier time getting relevant context? The courses are centered around using general-purpose GPT models, but many software dev teams are already using GH copilot autocompletions and GH copilot chat, so what specific advice would you have for such teams?
I had the same issue when trying “go to course” using a web browser on my computer.
I solved it using my phone, downloading the Coursera app and accessing the course materials from the phone for the first time.
After I did it, I returned to my computer and was able to access all the course content.
I just completed the Specialization!
I started 48 hours ago, and spent a total of 11 hours to complete the 3 courses!
Thanks to Laurence, Andrew, DeepLearning.AI and Coursera teams for the great work!
