I keep getting the word ‘message’ instead of the embeddings.
I suspect I hit some quota, can someone help debugging?

is that information for third person enough to debug your issue?
please share screenshot of the error where you are getting different output than you are looking for!
quote limit is restricted to a month cycle, so you can try after a month or try from a different account for doing the course.

Hi @Deepti_Prasad,
Here is a screenshot from a clean session (I just pressed “re-run the whole notebook”).
And of course the notebook crashes in the next cell.
It happens in both lesson 2 and lesson 4 of Understanding and Applying Text Embeddings.
Before, I could run both notebooks without problem.
@dguerri, did you try the course with a different email id ?? try running the codes then, do you face the same issue?let us know!!!
I am tagging L.T of the course as this seems to be more staff related issue to be addressed.
@Mubsi could you please check the learners issue, can a quota limit cause such issue??

@Deepti_Prasad @Mubsi using a different email address, the notebook works just fine.
So, it must be quota.
Nevertheless, I didn’t do anything too special, besides following the advice of experimenting with the notebook and playing with different settings…
I know that one option is to just use vertex AI “locally”, but maybe the quota should be raised for courses like this one, especially when students are encouraged to experiment with data.

Short courses or any courses are available with time limits, so in case you purchased or took the course, it is always better to save your works
