Short Course - How Diffusion Models Work - Lab 1 can't be downloaded, and crossed-links

In the How Diffusion Models Work short course, there appear to be some issues with the labs.

  • The first two programming lessons “Sampling” and “Neural Networks” both link to the same Lab 1 notebook file.

  • The Lab 1 notebook ipynb file cannot be downloaded. Labs 2, 3, and 4 can be downloaded but not Lab 1. This is using the usual “File->Download as-> Notebook (.ipynb)” interface.

  • Trying to download any of the four labs results in display of a blank web page (I’m on Chrome), which is rather odd. However the download itself never occurs for Lab 1.

@TMosh, both “Sampling” and “Neural Network” use the same notebook.

For “Sampling”, the SME skips over the NN code (which is the 2nd cell class ContextUnet) and mentions that she will discuss this in detail later.

In the “Neural Network”, even though she is going through the slides, the notebook is there for learners to see the actual code of it side by side.

Hi @joechen,
As Tom mentioned, you cannot download the first lab (of “Sampling”) using the File->Download as-> Notebook (.ipynb) method. Can this be fixed or is this the Jupyter bug we came across before as well ?

UPDATE from engineering: This bug will hopefully be fixed in the next few updates on the platform.
