Hi @dataofdata and welcome to the community!

To clarify — you do NOT need to install Linux or any external tools to complete the DeepLearning.AI Data Analytics course. The platform provides an embedded coding environment directly in your browser, so you only need a modern browser like Chrome. That’s it — no setup required.

However, if you’d like to save the code for yourself, experiment further, or work outside the course, then tools like Google Colab or Anaconda with Jupyter notebooks could be helpful — but they’re totally optional.

Hope this clears things up! You’re good to go with just Chrome

Which course are you attending?

Deep Learning.AI Data Analytics i definitely want to build a portfolio I want a entry level data analyst role so because of that I will get a tool like Google Colab pr Anaconda have to look at them and see what’s good enough for a beginner like me , if you have time I was wondering do you recommend taking another certificate at the same time for example I also signed up for a problem solving focused analytics certificate so I can see how to approach business problems but I dont want to overload feel like maybe just take the problem solving module anyway thank you for your time

To get started, such as DLAI’s courses, or Google Colab, or Kaggle, all you need is a computer and a web browser.
