But then when I do the submission, I got student_solution.py line 59 problem -

My code attached and appreciate if there are issues on the formatting. Thank you!
Have a great day, jw.

It looks like you are on an older version of the assignment. @chris.favila tagging you here so you are aware that this keeps happening.

  • If you would like to update to the new material, reset your deadlines. If you’re in the middle of a course, you will lose your notebook work when you reset your deadlines. Please save your work by downloading your existing notebooks before switching to the new version.
  • Don’t see the option to reset deadlines, or are getting this error message in the assignments: “Your assignment hasn’t been submitted.”
    • Please contact Coursera via the Learner Help Center and ask them to unenroll you, then immediately re-enroll you in the course.
    • Here are some template messages you can put in the Description of issue field in the Help Center form:
  1. If you still see your old notebooks and the assignments show TF version 1.14:

Hi! A new version of Introduction to TensorFlow for AI, ML, and DL by DeepLearning.AI was recently launched, but it seems I am still actively subscribed to the old session. Please unenroll, then immediately re-enroll me to the latest version of the course so I can see the updated materials and continue my coursework. Thank you!

  1. If you have TF version 2.7 in the assignments but cannot submit it:

Hi! A new version of Introduction to TensorFlow for AI, ML, and DL by DeepLearning.AI was recently launched, but I cannot submit my assignments. I get this error in Coursera Labs: “Your assignment hasn’t been submitted.” Please unenroll, then immediately re-enroll me to the latest version of the course so I can try again. This has worked for other learners in previous courses. Thank you!

Again, remember to download your assignment notebooks first if you’ve already done them. Switching sessions will give you a blank workspace, so you won’t be able to see your previous notebooks.

Hi! Sorry to hear that! May I ask when you enrolled into this course/specialization? We might need to flag this to Coursera. A new version of the course was launched about a month ago that mainly removed all code that uses Tensorflow v1. Thus, you should be seeing the updated version of the assignment. In any case, as Andres mentioned, you can get around this issue with these tips:

  • Please reach out to Coursera via the Learner Help Center and ask them to unenroll you, then immediately re-enroll you in the course.

  • Here is a template message you can put in the Description of issue field in the Help Center form:

Important Notes:

  • Remember to download your assignment notebooks first if you’ve already done them. Switching sessions will give you a blank workspace, so you won’t be able to see your previous notebooks.
  • Most importantly, you might need to resubmit the previous assignments. We realize this is inconvenient but unfortunately, the Coursera interface by default doesn’t carry scores of old assignments into the new one. If you want, you can ask the Help Center again if they can manually override this and marked as Passed the assignments that you already completed. If that is not possible, I think you can pass the previous assignments easily if you still have your old notebooks. You can use them as reference. The syntax used for the new ones might change but the overall objectives are the same.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much @a-zarta & @chris.favila ! I’ve received from CS team to reset my enrolment and it seems like I could redo the assignment

By the way, this is my notebook, and it keeps on having accuracy of 0.5. Any advice on hyperparameter tuning? Thanks again!

Have a good day, jw1.

Hi! Glad to know you now have access to the new session. Since this is a different topic already, kindly make a new post here in Week 4 to make the forums more organized. This will also give our mentors and your fellow learners a chance to assist with your query. Please also avoid attaching your notebook in a public post because it can potentially violate the Coursera Honor Code. You can ask for tips without giving away the entire solution. Thank you!
