Hi everyone,
I am currently mapping out my career transition into the Artificial Intelligence space, with the ultimate goal of becoming an AI System Engineer and eventually a Generative AI Architect Seeking Guidance on Roadmap & Projects
To give you some context on my background, I currently work as a Full Stack Developer, and my primary tech stack includes .NET, Angular, Azure, and SQL.
As a first step, I was advised that mastering Python is a necessary prerequisite, so I am currently working through those fundamentals before jumping into the heavy AI frameworks. However, I want to make sure the rest of my path is highly strategic and aligned with what the industry actually needs right now.
I would love to get some guidance from the experts here on a few specific areas:
-
The Learning Roadmap: Coming from a .NET/Azure background, what specific progression of AI skills, frameworks, and tools should I focus on next to become a well-rounded AI System Engineer?
-
Real-Time Projects: What are some impactful, real-world project ideas that go beyond standard tutorial concepts? I want to build things that will genuinely stand out on a resume.
-
Resume Building & Job Hunt: How should I frame my full-stack background alongside these new Gen AI skills to catch the eye of recruiters and transition smoothly into an AI-focused role?
Any advice, recommended resources, or hard truths about the current job market would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!
