Want to get started in AGI

I hope everyone is doing good and enjoying learning.

I have come back to this platform after a very long time. After some thinking, I have come to the conclusion that I want to get into AGI research. For that, I need some counseling and guidance. To be specific, I need the answers to the following questions but before that, I must inform where do I stand right now. I have completed the ML, DL, Mathematics for DS and ML Specializations and I have pretty good foundational theoretical knowledge with a little bit of hands-on practical projects as well. Now, coming to the specific questions:

  1. How to get started in AGI?
  2. What academic background and courses would you recommend for someone aspiring to be an AGI researcher?
  3. What specific skills are crucial in this field, both technical and non-technical?
  4. What are the biggest challenges or unanswered questions in AGI, and how can aspiring researchers contribute to solving them?
  5. Is there value in gaining knowledge in other fields like psychology, philosophy, or ethics for AGI research?

While answering these questions, I would appreciate if you keep in mind that I am into the field since last year and so I am not that experienced.
