Can anyone please explain how the slop is negative in the second example? Why/How the height of that triangle of the tangent is Negative?

Hi, just look at it in terms of if x and y increase together or if one increases and the other decreases. This gives the sign of the slope.

oh! I see. If both of the axis increases then it’s a Positive slope but if one increase and other decrease then it’s a negative slope. Thanks man I got it now.
