Weights explanation

first of all, great course, I’m having the time of my life, secondly, I found a lack of information about weights(W) and their purpose as well as the importance of the nodes in the ML model. I’d be happy if you could shortly explain/ direct me to material thus I’m having a hard time finding any.

That is covered in course 1 of the specialization. It’d probably be a good idea to take at least the first three courses in order.
