Hello everyone, I’m almost done with the mathematics specialization, but I realized I need to learn data cleaning and visualization. I’m planning to take the Machine Learning specialization, but I’m confused about whether I should learn data science or data analysis before starting. What should I do next?
The MLS courses don’t teach (or require) data cleaning skills.
The order in which to take those courses does not matter.
I want to start making projects using what i have learned in the mathematics course . So i need to be able to clean and visualize data . I am just confused about what should i learn . Should i learn data analytics or data science ? And What sources that i should follow ? Thanks in advance .
The Math for ML Course (M4ML) isn’t intended to give you project experience.
Its goal is to provide the math background for a deeper understanding of how ML works in the other courses (Machine Learning Specialization, Deep Learning Specialization, etc).
Those specializations do not go very deep into mathematics - that’s what M4ML was created.
Data cleaning is usually covered by data analytics courses. I searched “data analytics” on Cousera and read the syllabuses of a few, and I can find it! Why don’t you search Cousera and try/audit some of them (if the free-trial/audit option is available) to see if they match with your expectation?
Cheers,
Raymond
