When I run the ungraded assignment of course 1 week 4, it accesses my webcam; no problem. A pop-up comes up asking if I allow to use webcan and after I click on OK, it runs OK.
But when I launch rpsls.html, it brings up webpage with all buttons, but it does not launch webcam and no permission asking pop-up window. I checked code and do not see difference between ungraded assignment and graded assignment. Am I missing something?

and there are no ad blockers setting issue???
I do not think so. I when I run ungraded lab – no problem.

Can you check in the browser setting in privacy and security section where you need to allow the system camera to have access, have you enable it??
Also another issue could be if you are using an older version of bracket!!

Again, the biggest mystery to me that ungraded lab accesses webcam without any issue, but graded assignment has a problem. The code related to webcam seems to be the same.

Can you clear me one more last doubt, when you are writing the codes in bracket and then try to open the web browser, do you see the codes still visible there? or if you see any error?
as I can see you are using a latest version of bracket and your web browser setting also looks fine. Another think make sure when you write the codes in brackets and then open in the chrome browser, do you see the codes in the browser??
if yes, here is what helped me, clearing the browsing history and cache and then re-doing the assignment from scratch, first make sure you delete the old files you tried attempting.
Also if you can share the code screenshot in the bracket as well as web chrome browser.

Thanks, Deepti. After I deleted history and cleare cache, it worked. But then why did ungraded assignments always work and graded need to clear? And I tried both repeatedly one after another. A mystery…

Honestly it was another learner helped me through this annoying issue. He was more patient than me.
At the end what I understood with this course as we are using an interface like bracket and chrome browser for the files to be able to read it correctly. The file which we have attempted and got across any error or any other issues like here webcome connectivity could be because of mismatch names, or similar file names causing browser to not read the coded file correctly. So I had to delete the whole dataset I used to download and re-download and re-do the assignment from scratch.
