Hello all,

Following Coursera’s recommendation, I’m posting here to report my assignment was not graded due to an unknown issue. Please advise.

Typically this means one of two things:

  • Maybe you’re using an obsolete copy of the notebook.
  • Maybe your notebook’s contents or metadata has become modified, in a way that makes the grader no longer able to use it.

This can happen if you do any of the following (a partial list):

  • Downloaded the notebook and edit it using some other platform.
  • Adding cells
  • Deleting cells
  • Moving cells within the notebook
  • Deleting any of the text from a notebook cell that you weren’t intended to.

Please verify whether any of these apply.

In addition to investigating the points Tom lists, one experiment worth trying would be to get a fresh copy of the notebook (instructions here) and then carefully “copy/paste” over just your completed code from the “YOUR CODE HERE” sections and don’t touch anything else.

Then submit to the grader and let us know if you still see that error.

That did it, thank you @paulinpaloalto. I imagine I wrote outside the ‘your code here’ bounds at some point.
