C4W4 Capstone Project 2 Glue Extract Jobs Fail

Hi, when performing the glue jobs at the start of the lab the jobs for de-c4w4a2-api-sessions-extract-job and de-c4w4a2-api-users-extract-job fail with the following error:

What I really dont get is this part in the extract_job/glue.tf
Because changing the subnet_id from public to privat was never mentioned and even so it would not work either.

Just a quick reminder to double-check that the correct API Endpoint value is set in /terraform/modules/extract_job/glue.tf.

You can find the appropriate value in the Outputs tab of the corresponding CloudFormation stack.

After they reset the lab the “GO TO AWS CONSOLE” Link doesnt work now. Is there a possibility to reset the Code base as well?

So I tried it again today. This time it worked but the next step (deploying the glue jobs for the tranformation step) failed with:

!AnalysisException: Insufficient Lake Formation permission(s) on de_c4w4a2_silver_db (Service: AWSGlue; Status Code: 400; Error Code: AccessDeniedException; Request ID: 43eda897-7409-4efa-96df-0a9019b28cf3; Proxy: null)"

Soon I will have to pay a month extra just because I need to reset the final two labs all the time. Is there a way to just give me a working lab environment please?

Sorry you’re still running into issues — glad to hear you made some progress, but that Lake Formation error is definitely frustrating.

The best way to fix this is by submitting the “Insufficient Lake Formation Permissions” option via the lab refresh form. It usually takes up to 2-3 business days to resolve.

Since you’ve had this issue before, I’ll tag @hawraa.salami to help and check on your lab refresh.

So I cant even try out the glue jobs this time.
I will fill out the form again.

@Nesuark You do not need to fill out the form again. Everything looks good in your account. Can you try to reboot the lab and try again?

@hawraa.salami The AWS Link is still empty even after two more reboots.
